Super 12 Champs

Ok, so they didn't win the Super 12 this year (sniff), but they were close! Ranked 4th with 33 points ain't too shabby! This year was the year of the Auckland Blues.. but that's A-OK! We all know that the Brumbies are awesome anyway! AND, their inaugeral year in 1996, they took the Super 12 title, so it's all good.
Even though Super 12 season is over, and the Blues slaughtered the Crusaders (muaha), a bunch of the ACT players are now playing for the Australian Wallabies in the World Cup. George Gregan, captain of the mighty Brumbies, is also captain of the Wallabys. I just watched a match between them and Ireland today.. ouch! Slaughtered those guys. The Wallabys are gonna be kicking butt with the Brumbies players, so everyone in the World Cup best watch out! Australia is gonna be crowned, just you wait and see...

Super 12? WHAT?!
Some poor, deprived souls out there have NO idea what I am talking about. Pity. RUGBY is now my favorite sport. It's best described as a combo between soccor and football.. without a lot of rules, a scrum, and (the best part) the SIN BIN! The sin bin is the "time out box" as my sister calls it, but instead it's called the sin bin. People get thrown in the air, the ball is kicked from one end to the other multiple times, people get clothes-lined, there are no pads or body suits.. it's so much fun! The Brumbies are part of the SUPER 12 which is 12 teams from
around the globe that compete from February until the end of May. This is what I consider to be the "extreme" Rugby (also known as Rugby Union). Games can be viewed on Fox World Sports channel at various times, so check it out. While World Cup (which is 20 teams from around the world, including the USA Eagles) is also very exciting, the Super 12 games are CRAZY! These teams go all out and stop at nothing. It is a ton of fun to watch, and pretty easy to understand. During half time, the FWO commentators step in and explain rules of the game, etc, so even if you are sports illiterate, Rugby is a sinch to get.
